Battery Monitor

In conjunction with indication and audible warning the battery monitor can save the users of HGVs and Passenger vehicles a lot of money. There is always a danger and often happens that there is a battery drain due to forgetfulness or carelessness.

People leave lights on or use electricity from the battery while the motor is not running, such as TVs, mobile cookers, heaters etc... Doing this the battery can easily be drained.

We have designed this system so that our Battery monitor knows when the battery is at a point of drain and going past that point it will not start the engine. Our monitor will then switch off all the electrics and leave enough power in the battery to start the cab.

One typical problem is on the Buses. The cleaners are forever leaving all the lights on when finishing their cleaning duties. Of course in the morning when they are to start the bus there is no more power in the battery. They then have to call out the relevant engineer who can run the mobile generator to re charge the bus battery. Our system monitors the power while the lights are on and then will shut off all power with enough power in the battery to start the engine.
